HR 3126 2009 A letter was written in opposition to the HR 3126.
Aggressive Solicitation/Pedestrian Interference Ordinances 2009 A motion was passed to the Board of Directors to support the proposed Aggressive Solicitation/Pedestrian Interference Ordinances as drafted to help downtown businesses deal with a long term problem.
Zoning Re-Write 2009 A motion was passed to draft a resolution and strongly encourage the Board of Directors to support the Zoning Re-Write in its current form, knowing changes will occur in the negotiation process.
Green House Gas 2009 A motion was passed to the Board of Directors to support the Green House Gas committee's proposed Missoula policy statement for Enhanced Forest Practices,
Forest Discovery Days 2009 A motion was passed that the Chamber, using foundation funds, would match dollar for dollar up to half the cost of the program dollars raised.
Fort Missoula Regional Park 2009 A motion was made to approve the Governmental Affairs Committee recommendation, properly seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.
Green House Gas Committee Energy Efficient Building Program 2009 A motion was made to approve the Governmental Affairs recommendation, properly seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.
Weatherization & Energy Efficiency 2009

Opposed the City of Missoula supporting changing state laws so that new buildings would be 30% more energy efficient than the current code requires but rather the Chamber should support existing weatherization programs currently available.

State-wide Gas Tax 2009 A motion was made to send a letter that proposes the city or county would collect 2-cent gas tax and the money locally.
Co-Sponsor Economic Overview Workshop 2008 A motion was made to become a co-sponsor partner with the other organizations for the economic overview workshop, properly seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.
Joint Policy Statement 2008 A motion made to approve the presented joint policy statement, properly seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.
Urban Fringe Development Area 2008 The Chamber is not prepared to partner in signing this letter and will make a decision independently on UFDA, properly seconded and the motion was passed unanimously.
Russell/South 3rd: 2008

Supported the preferred alternative 4 lane solution proposed in the Russell/South 3rd draft EIS.

County Sub-Division Re-Write 2008 The Chamber wrote a letter to the County Commissioners regarding the County Sub-Division Re-Write asking why the re-write was split into multiple phases. The Chamber requested that it be put into a single draft document for ratification and make it available for a longer public review time. 
Amtrak Resolution 2008 The Chamber partnered with the Missoula City Council, County Commissioners and the Montana Association of Railroad Passengers on a resolution to encourage President George Bush to sign a re-allocation of funding for Amtrak.
Montana Forest Products Initiative 2008 A motion was made to approve that a letter of support for the Montana Forest Products Initiative be sent out from the Chamber along with Board and Governmental Affairs members will personally contact other Chamber members requesting letters from their businesses.
Beaverhead/Deer Lodge Partnership 2008 A motion was made to approve to write letters to Montana’s Congressional delegation to commend the Beaverhead/Deer Lodge partnership and to ask them to support the proposed bill at the upcoming legislative session.
Public Safety and Health 2008 A motion was made to have a Chamber representative attend the Public Safety and Health Committee meeting and request for further research to be done on the Voluntary Residential Inspection Program proposed ordinance and to specifically address the questions raised in the February 15th 2008 memo.
Tourism Business Improvement District 2008 Approved to support the Convention and Visitor Bureau's efforts to implement a Missoula Tourism Business Improvement District.
Impact Fees 2007 Approved the recommendation from the Community Affairs committee to oppose the impact fees at City Council, based on the need to adjust the proposed commercial fees, properly seconded and the motion was passed.  
Eureka Chamber of Commerce 2007 Sent a letter of Support for the Eureka Chamber supporting its upgrade and expansion of its area visitor information center.
Lighting Committee 2007 Authorized Gary Bakke to indicate to the Lighting Committee, on behalf of the Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce, to approve the lighting ordinance draft, with the understanding that the committee needs to address and work out two concerns: 1.) Local business current inventories need time to sell these fixtures and a minimum of 6 months requested. 2.) Northwestern Energy's leasing and contractual issues need to be resolved. 
City/County Government Study 2006 Approved the MCIE and Community Affairs recommendation to 1.) put the study commissions of the city/county minority and majority reports on the Chamber's website. 2.) Place the four ballot issues on the Chamber's website with the pros/cons stated on these issues. 3.) Send a request to the Missoulian by the President of the Chamber and the MCIE Chair requesting both the minority and majority reports to appear in the paper.
Citizen's Initiative and the Charrette Process 2006 Support the the Missoula Downtown Association and the Mayors office in promotion of a citizen's initiative and the Charrette process so that adequate input is made in this decision to ensure that appropriate changes are made to Broadway.
Landscape Buffering 2006 Support the landscape buffering chamber from 15% down to 10%.
Chamber's Joint Legislative Statement 2006 Approved the Chamber's Legislative Joint statement with the exception of the minimum wage clause.
Walking School Bus 2006 Accepted the Community Affairs Committee recommendation to not support the walking school bus.
Performing Arts Center 2006 Accepted Community Affairs Committee recommendation to write a letter of support in regards to the Performing Arts Center.
National Forest Service 2006 Approved to send a letter to the National Forest Service asking them to extend their formal comment period for an additional 180 days.
Bitterroot Ski Resort Economic Study 2006 Ratified the memorandum of the understanding between the Missoula Chamber and the MAEDC for the Bitterroot Ski Resort Economic study.
Partnership with the Chamber and MAEDC 2006 Authorized the Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Board to prepare a draft of a memorandum that facilitates a partnership between the two organizations: the Chamber and the MAEDC, for the purposes of completing an assessment of the economic impact of the Bitterroot Resort and it will clarify both organizations roles in regards to commitments; fundraising; staff time and roles and responsibilities to the Task Force
Bitterroot Ski Resort Task Force 2006 Approved the Bitterroot Task Force to pursue the cost, scope and involvement of an economic study with community partners for the assessment of economic impact of the Bitterroot Ski Resort.

Missoula Development Park Issue 2004 Approved to endorse the creation of 40 new jobs in the Missoula Development Park via the building of two new auto dealerships within the guidelines: 1) Development Park land use and zoning requirements and 2) previous commitments to the owners of the Wingate Inn. In the event that these guidelines are conflicting, the Chamber supports a mutually negotiated agreement between the three respective parties that results in new business development and quality job creation

Missoula Youth Homes 2000 Chamber pays Missoula Youth Homes a total of 1,000.00 after recieving a complete release from the Downtown Association and the Chamber moves to forward with the event

Smart Growth 2000 April 14, 2000-The Chamber’s Community Affairs held a round table discussion on Smart growth – No action taken.
Sign Ordinance 2000 January 19, 2000-Chamber motioned to write a letter to City Council to make the sign ordinance a stand alone issue.  The Chamber challenged the City to reconsider creating a new ordinance when the existing one is not being complied with - This haulted further movement on a new ordinance.
